Integrated System of Medical Emergencies (SIUM). It is a program of urgent, emergency and serious care that rectorizes from the community in the Health System from rescuers or with the urgency in primary care to the units of the different medical therapies.

STRUCTURE
The Integrated Medical Emergency System is designed with the organization of the emergency system in the community area, made up of the PPU (highest quality emergency service attached to the polyclinic) and the rest of the units that also receive them, supported by territorial and municipal centers by an ambulance service.
AMBULANCES
The SIUM has three types of ambulances:
Intensive: with the latest technology infrastructure and a doctor, a nurse and a paramedic.
Intermediate: more conventional with nurse and paramedic.
Basic: used for the transfer of patients who cannot use urban transport due to their conditions.
TRAINING AND PREPARATION
The SIUM in the last two years has prepared more than 20 thousand people nationwide, 30 percent of the doctors linked to primary care (specialists in Comprehensive General Medicine) have passed the pre-hospital course on first aid, and are working in the training of volunteer instructors for a greater impact of first aid on the health of the Cuban population.
