Our Region

1- Brigadier General Moisés Sió Wong for the exemplary revolutionary trajectory maintained throughout his existence, as a member of the Rebel Army, from which he participated in important combats and tasks for the final freedom of the nation, the defense and development of the country, after the revolutionary triumph.

2- Orlando Báez Pascual, for his dedication to the tasks of the Revolution and his defense, from the initial years. Being the founder of the Local Power, the Local bodies of the People's Power in Los Arabos, and leader of the Communist Party of Cuba in the San Pedro de Mayabón territory, with outstanding results in his management, his merits as a revolutionary.

1- General Calixto García Martínez, for the exemplary revolutionary trajectory maintained throughout his existence. For his outstanding participation in the assault on the Bayamo barracks on July 26, 1953, the landing of the Granma yacht, the fight in the Sierra Maestra, the Freedom Caravan, and for his defense of the conquests of the Revolution by occupying positions at the forefront of different tasks and fronts.

2- Eloy Nodarse Martínez for his imprint on the decisive tasks from the underground, the fight against bandits, the MNR; the PCC, the ANAP, the people's harvests, agricultural mobilizations, their cederista activism, their exemplary moral and revolutionary behavior.
