He was born in Cienaguilla, Campechuela Granma municipality, the son of Augusta and Antonio, of peasant origin.
His working life begins at an early age together with 16 brothers, on a farm where they worked the land and raised cattle.
In November 1957 he joined the Rebel army in column number 7, under the command of Francisco Fuentes, carrying out different actions: ambushes, burning of cane, collection of weapons and ammunition, and livestock. During the tyranny offensive he passes under the command of Captain Ignacio in Column 1 under the command of Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz, where he continues until the triumph of the Revolution. He participated in different battles: El Jigüe, Sao Grande, and Jiguaní.
He participates as a member of the Freedom Caravan, which arrived in Havana on January 8, 1959. He is located in the Managua Tanks Unit, as Chief of Tanks. On April 17, 1961, he was ordered to leave for Playa Girón and fight against the US mercenary brigade, where he complied with the Commander-in-Chief's command to touch the waters of the sea with the tank mats, as a sign that they had swept away the enemy. He participated in the combat of San Blas. Later it passes to military unit 1410 3in the same specialty.
At the conclusion of the mission, he returned to Havana and continued as a tanker, passing various courses of this specialty. Subsequently, he passed to the La Paloma Unit in Los Arabos, as Chief of the Tank Battalion of the Regiment of Studies, until concluding the service in the FAR, stage in which he passed to the Reserve.
He reached the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He fulfilled an internationalist mission in Angola.
In civil life he works as an administrative leader at the UBPC Prendes de Los Arabos. Later in the Association of Combatants in the sphere of insurance until retirement.
He joined the BPD since its foundation, fulfilling all the tasks entrusted to it. He is a militant and founder of the PCC, a prominent cederist.
